Polyurethane and epoxy resin decorative stone are prone to high exothermic reactions and easy adhesion to molds. Our heat- and chemical-resistant RTV2 liquid silicone is specifically formulated for resin casting, ensuring smooth demolding and a perfect surface.

Challenges of Resin Casting:

Resin systems present different challenges compared to concrete and plaster:

• High exothermic curing: The significant heat generated during resin curing (up to 80–120°C) can cause degradation of ordinary silicone.
• Chemical adhesion: Some resin systems may adhere to the silicone surface, leading to difficult demolding.
• High surface finish requirements: Resin products typically require high-gloss or ultra-smooth surfaces, placing extremely high demands on the surface finish of the mold.
• Pigment and additive compatibility: Resin formulations containing pigments, fillers, and additives may interact with the mold material.
