Applications: High-end Hi-Fi speaker woofer voice coils and precision crossover circuits.
Challenges: Vigorous movement of the voice coil under high power generates high heat, vibrations cause micro-noise (hum) in the crossover inductor, and humid air oxidizes the copper wire.
Solution: Dip-potting the voice coil bobbin and integrally potting the inductors and capacitors on the crossover.
