The extremely soft properties of silicone gel are measured using a Shore OO durometer rather than the more commonly used Shore A scale, with readings typically ranging from 10-60 Shore OO. The lower the number, the softer the material. The principle of selection is: for components that are more stress-sensitive and have finer bond wires (such as COB chips), a gel with a lower durometer (e.g., 20-30 OO) should be selected to provide optimal cushioning protection.
