Careful testing is required. Silicone gel may be incompatible with certain types of conformal coatings (such as acrylics and polyurethanes), causing the conformal coating to wrinkle or dissolve, or the silicone gel to not cure. It is recommended to use a silicone-based conformal coating in areas that will come into contact with silicone gel, or to conduct compatibility testing beforehand.
