Dernières nouvelles de l'entreprise RTV2 Liquid Silicone Quality Control: 6 Indicators That Factory Procurement Must Verify

Unstable RTV2 liquid silicone quality can lead to mold scrapping and production stoppages. Cultural stone and wall tile factories should verify these 6 quality control indicators item by item when purchasing silicone.

Unstable RTV2 liquid silicone quality can lead to mold scrapping, production interruptions, and product defects. As a cultural stone and wall tile factory purchasing mold silicone, you should verify the following quality control indicators with each supplier.

6 QC Indicators That Must Be Verified:

  • 1. Viscosity Consistency: Batch-to-batch viscosity fluctuations directly affect mold making. If it's too thick, the silicone cannot flow into the details; if it's too thin, it's difficult to form sufficient thickness. Viscosity test data (mPa·s) is required for each batch.
  • 2. Curing Performance: Working time and demolding time must be stable. Too fast curing may lead to scrapping during casting; too slow curing will delay production. Curing time specifications and batch test results are required.
  • 3. Mechanical Properties: Tensile strength, tear strength, elongation, and hardness directly determine mold life. Cured product performance test reports are required for each batch.
  • 4. Mixing Ratio Accuracy: The ratio of base material to hardener must be precise. Poor ratio control can lead to incomplete curing (sticky mold) or over-curing (brittle mold).
  • 5. Shrinkage Rate: As mentioned in the dimensional accuracy article, low and stable shrinkage rate is crucial. Shrinkage rate test data is required.
  • 6. Impurities and Foreign Matter: Gel particles and impurities in silicone can cause surface defects in the mold. The material condition should be visually inspected upon receipt.

Our Quality Commitment: Every batch of RTV2 liquid silicone we produce undergoes complete QC testing before shipment, and each order is accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis (COA). Our ISO 9001 certified production facilities ensure reliable and consistent quality.
