Product Description

Milky White Soft Tin Cure Silicone Rubber 20 Shore A RTV-2 Liquid for Concrete Molds

This milky white, soft 20 Shore A tin cure (condensation-cure) RTV-2 liquid silicone rubber is a two-component mold-making silicone supplied as HN-620 in the HN-6XX series. Mixed at a simple 100:2 ratio by weight and cured at room temperature, it forms a soft, flexible yet tough elastomer with no oil bleed, good tear resistance, fine pattern replication and multiple demolding cycles — a factory-direct solution for concrete molds, cement and artificial stone molds, decorative panels and general RTV-2 mold making.

Milky White Soft Tin Cure Silicone Rubber 20 Shore A

Key Features

  • Milky white appearance with a soft, flexible cured body — ideal for large concrete and cement molds
  • Shore A 20±2 hardness (HN-620) — soft grade that releases easily from deep-relief and textured patterns
  • Two-component tin-cure (condensation) RTV-2 system, also called tin catalyzed RTV silicone; 100:2 mix ratio by weight
  • Room-temperature curing (no heating required); 30-40 min pot life at 25°C, full cure in 12-24 h
  • No oil bleed (non-oily); easy demolding and multiple demolding cycles for production molds
  • Good tear resistance (19.8-24.3 kN/m), tensile strength 3.1-3.6 MPa and elongation 600-720%
  • Low linear shrinkage (≤0.2%) for accurate, dimension-stable pattern reproduction
  • Stable chemical, heat, corrosion and ageing resistance; 12-month shelf life, non-dangerous goods for transport

Milky white tin cure liquid silicone application

Other hardness grades in the same HN-6XX series (Shore A 5, 10, 15, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50) are available for selection: softer grades for candles, soaps and delicate crafts; medium grades for general crafts, resin and gypsum; harder grades for concrete, cement and rigid molds. All grades share the same 100:2 mix ratio, pot life and cure time.

Mixing & Application

  1. Pre-mix Component B (curing agent) well and stir Component A if filler has settled.
  2. Weigh Components A and B in a strict 100:2 ratio by weight. Do not under- or over-dose the curing agent.
  3. Mix thoroughly, scraping the bottom and walls of the container for full dispersion.
  4. Degas under vacuum; do not exceed 10 minutes so pot life is not shortened.
  5. Pour or brush onto the master pattern within the 30-40 min pot life, avoiding trapped air.
  6. Allow to cure at room temperature for 12-24 h; leave 24 h before demolding for best results. Do not heat to cure (temperature must not exceed 100°C if acceleration is unavoidable).

FAQ

1. Q: Why is a milky white soft silicone used for concrete and cement molds?

A: A soft 20 Shore A grade releases easily from deep-relief, textured or undercut concrete and cement patterns, while the milky white color gives good contrast against the master and helps spot air bubbles and defects. It has good tear resistance and elongation for repeated demolding.

2. Q: What is the mix ratio and curing time of this 20 Shore A tin cure silicone?

A: Mix Component A and Component B at 100:2 by weight. Pot life is 30-40 minutes at 25°C, with full cure in 12-24 hours at room temperature (no heating required). Leaving it 24 hours before first use gives the most stable performance.

3. Q: Which applications is this silicone suitable for?

A: It is widely used for concrete molds, cement wall tile molds, artificial stone and cultured marble molds, precast and decorative concrete, 3D wall panels, cultural stone, GRC/GFRC molds, gypsum, plaster, epoxy and polyester resin molds, polyurethane/vacuum casting and prototyping. Softer grades suit candles and soaps, while harder grades suit rigid cement and concrete molds.

4. Q: Can you customize hardness, color, viscosity or packaging, and do you offer OEM/ODM?

A: Yes. As a factory-direct supplier we offer custom formulations (Shore A 5-50), custom color, viscosity adjustment and OEM/ODM packaging, plus free samples for testing.

5. Q: What are the MOQ, supply ability and delivery time?

A: MOQ starts at 20 kg. Supply ability is 50 tons per month with about 5-7 days lead time for samples and 10-15 days for bulk orders. Component A is packed in 25/200 kg iron drums with Component B in a proportional plastic bottle.
