HN-8806A/B is a two-component platinum addition-cure silicone potting compound supplied as a 1:1 mix ratio by weight system. Component A is a white liquid and Component B is a grey liquid; after mixing, the compound cures at room temperature or under heat into a grey, flexible elastomer of 45 ± 5 Shore A hardness with a thermal conductivity of ≥ 0.76 W/m·K.
The cured elastomer combines flame retardancy to UL 94 V-0, volume resistivity of 1.0 × 1016 Ω·cm, dielectric strength of 25-30 kV/mm and an operating temperature range of -50 °C to 250 °C. It cures with extremely low shrinkage, releases no heat or by-products, and causes no corrosion to sealed components.
Typical users include power electronics manufacturers, EV battery pack assemblers, LED driver makers, automotive electronics suppliers and industrial control equipment builders who require a reproducible 1:1 dispensing process, long pot life and reliable dielectric insulation.

Cure inhibition warning: addition-cure silicone may fail to cure in contact with organotin or tin-containing silicones, sulfur and polysulfide compounds, amines, polyurethane rubber, ammonia-containing materials, phosphorus compounds, organic acids and solder flux residues. Clean substrates and tools before use.
Q1: What is the mix ratio and pot life of this silicone potting compound?
A1: HN-8806A/B is mixed at a 1:1 ratio by weight. Mixed compound has a pot life of 18-24 minutes at 25 °C, which allows vacuum degassing and dispensing of multiple cavities before viscosity rises.
Q2: What are the thermal conductivity and flame retardancy of HN-8806A/B?
A2: Thermal conductivity is ≥ 0.76 W/m·K tested to GB/T 10297-1998, and flame retardancy reaches UL 94 V-0 class, with dielectric strength of 25-30 kV/mm and volume resistivity of 1.0 × 1016 Ω·cm.
Q3: How long does the compound take to cure?
A3: At 25 °C the material reaches a preliminary cure in 2-3 hours; at 80 °C heat accelerated cure takes about 12 minutes. Full properties develop after the recommended cure schedule.
Q4: Which applications and substrates is this potting compound suitable for?
A4: It is used for power modules, EV battery packs, LED drivers, inverters, transformers, automotive ECU and sensors, PCBA and 5G communication equipment, with good adhesion to PCBs, metal heatsinks, glass, ceramics and most engineering plastics.
Q5: What is the operating temperature range and packaging?
A5: The cured elastomer operates from -50 °C to 250 °C with 45 ± 5 Shore A hardness and low cure shrinkage. Standard packaging is 25 kg per component, 50 kg per set, with 6 months shelf life in sealed containers at 25 °C.
