HN-8806A/B is a two-part RTV-2 addition-cure silicone potting compound supplied in a 1:1 ratio by weight, packed as Component A and Component B. Component A is a white liquid and Component B is a grey liquid; the mixed compound cures at room temperature or with heat into a grey, flexible elastomer of 45 ± 5 Shore A.
The cured material delivers UL 94 V-0 flame retardancy, thermal conductivity of ≥ 0.76 W/m·K, dielectric strength of 25-30 kV/mm, volume resistivity of 1.0 × 1016 Ω·cm and continuous operation from -50 °C to 250 °C, while curing with extremely low shrinkage and releasing no by-products or heat.
This grade is designed for high voltage and long-life equipment: transformers, insulators, reactors, power supplies, inverters, energy storage cabinets and outdoor electrical enclosures, where dielectric insulation, moisture proofing and thermal management must hold up over years of service.

Cure inhibition warning: avoid contact with organotin or tin-containing silicones, sulfur and polysulfide materials, amines, polyurethane rubber, ammonia-containing compounds, phosphorus compounds, organic acids and solder flux residues. Clean substrates, moulds and tools before potting.
Q1: What is the difference between this two-part RTV-2 potting compound and a one-component adhesive?
A1: This is a two-part addition-cure system mixed 1:1 by weight. It cures throughout the full depth of thick sections without relying on atmospheric moisture, so large castings, transformer windings and battery modules cure uniformly with low shrinkage.
Q2: What dielectric and thermal performance does HN-8806A/B provide?
A2: Dielectric strength is 25-30 kV/mm with volume resistivity of 1.0 × 1016 Ω·cm, thermal conductivity is ≥ 0.76 W/m·K, and flame retardancy meets UL 94 V-0, which suits transformer, insulator and high voltage power supply encapsulation.
Q3: What is the working time and cure schedule on a production line?
A3: Pot life is 18-24 minutes at 25 °C; preliminary cure takes 2-3 hours at room temperature, or about 12 minutes at 80 °C for heat accelerated curing, allowing fast mould turnover and high daily output.
Q4: How should the product be stored and how long is the shelf life?
A4: Keep containers sealed at 25 °C in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from sunlight and moisture. Shelf life is 6 months; material beyond shelf life should be inspected and tested before use.
Q5: Can hardness, color and packaging be customized for OEM orders?
A5: Yes. Hardness, color and pack size can be adjusted for OEM and ODM projects, with standard packaging of 25 kg per component and 50 kg per set, supported by batch consistency testing on viscosity, density, hardness and thermal conductivity.
Shenzhen Hanast New Materials Co., Ltd. manufactures liquid silicone rubber and potting compounds with in-house testing of viscosity, density, hardness, thermal conductivity and dielectric strength.
