Low Stress Silicone Potting Compound for Industrial Power and Heavy-Duty Equipment
HN-8806A/B is a two-component 1:1 addition-cure silicone potting compound for industrial equipment that runs hot, vibrates and is serviced in the field. The cured 45 +/- 5 Shore A elastomer keeps stress low on windings, busbars and solder joints, absorbs vibration and thermal shock, and insulates at 25-30 kV/mm with 1.0 x 10^16 Ohm.cm volume resistivity. It is halogen-free, UL 94 V-0 flame retardant and RoHS compliant, conducts 0.76 W/mK, cures at room temperature in 2-3 h or in 12 min at 80 C, and serves from -50 C to 250 C.
Key Features
- Low stress on components - Shore A 45 +/- 5, extremely low cure shrinkage and 210 um/(m.C) CTE protect windings, busbars and solder joints.
- Vibration and thermal shock resistance - flexible elastomer absorbs transport shock, motor vibration and load cycling in heavy-duty equipment.
- Halogen-free, RoHS compliant, UL 94 V-0 - flame-retardant insulation for cabinets, battery rooms and confined industrial spaces.

- 0.76 W/mK thermal conductivity - moves heat from windings and power devices into the housing or heatsink.
- Deep-section curing without exotherm or by-products - thick castings cure evenly and do not corrode copper, aluminium or plated terminals.
- -50 C to 250 C service range - stable in cold storage, outdoor cabinets, engine bays and high-temperature industrial zones.
- 1:1 mix ratio, 18-24 min pot life, 2000-3000 mPa.s - works with manual pouring, cartridges and dual-pump meter-mix lines.
- Room temperature or 80 C cure - 2-3 h at 25 C for field repair, 12 min at 80 C for volume production.
- ISO 9001 certified factory with TDS, MSDS, batch COA and REACH documentation for every shipment.

Mixing and Application
- Pre-mix: stir Component A and Component B separately before use because fillers may settle; reseal containers immediately.
- Weighing: weigh A and B at exactly 1:1 by weight with a precision scale.
- Mixing: mix in one direction and scrape the container walls and bottom to avoid local uncured spots.
- Degassing (optional): vacuum degas for void-free modules, busbars and thick castings.
- Potting: pour within the 18-24 min pot life and ensure complete coverage of windings, terminals and clearances.
- Curing: cure 2-3 h at 25 C or 12 min at 80 C; do not move or stress the assembly during cure.
Cure Inhibition Notice
This addition-cure silicone may fail to cure in contact with organotin or tin-containing silicones, sulfur and polysulfide compounds, amines, polyurethane rubber, ammonia-containing items, phosphorus compounds, organic acids and solder flux residues. Clean all substrates and tools before potting and do not mix with condensation-cure (acetoxy) silicone, epoxy or polyurethane.

FAQ
Q1: Why choose a low stress silicone for industrial power equipment?
A: Shore A 45 +/- 5 hardness, extremely low cure shrinkage and 210 um/(m.C) CTE keep mechanical stress low on windings, busbars and solder joints, so vibration, thermal shock and load cycling do not crack insulation or solder fillets.
Q2: Is it suitable for UPS, welding machines and elevator controllers?
A: Yes. The compound insulates at 25-30 kV/mm, conducts 0.76 W/mK and serves -50 C to 250 C, which covers UPS modules, inverter welders, welding transformers, elevator control cabinets and lift inverters.
Q3: Can it be used in mining, port and marine environments?
A: Yes. The cured elastomer is flexible, non-corrosive and halogen-free with UL 94 V-0 flame retardancy, so it suits port crane drives, mining and explosion-proof enclosures, marine battery systems and offshore wind converters.
Q4: What about hydrogen fuel cells and battery swap stations?
A: The low stress and thermal shock resistance make it suitable for fuel cell stack frames, battery swap station power modules, BESS racks and charging equipment, with deep-section curing and no exotherm or by-products.
Q5: What are the MOQ, packaging, lead time and sample policy?
A: Standard packaging is 25 kg per component barrel, 50 kg per A+B set. MOQ is one 50 kg set, a 1 kg trial kit and free sample are available, stock ships in 3-7 working days and bulk orders in 10-15 days. OEM private label is available from our ISO 9001 factory.
