Product Description
Fast Cure Silicone Potting Compound for High-Throughput Dispensing Lines

HN-8806A/B is a two-component platinum addition-cure silicone potting compound built for volume production. It mixes 1:1 by weight, stays workable for 18-24 min, and cures in 12 min at 80 C, so potted ignition coils, transformers and sensor modules leave the oven at line speed instead of curing overnight. Viscosity holds at 2000-3000 mPa.s for dual-pump meter-mix dispensing and vacuum degassing, while the cured 45 +/- 5 Shore A elastomer delivers 0.76 W/mK thermal conductivity, 25-30 kV/mm dielectric strength, UL 94 V-0 flame retardancy, low stress on windings and a -50 C to 250 C service range.

Fast Cure Silicone Potting Compound 1:1 Mix Ratio 12 Min Cure at 80C for High-Throughput Ignition Coil Dispensing
Key Features
  • 12 min cure at 80 C - removes the curing oven bottleneck and shortens cycle time on automated dispensing lines.
  • 18-24 min pot life at 25 C - long enough for multi-cavity moulds and manual benches, short enough to keep mixed material moving.
  • 2000-3000 mPa.s dispensing viscosity - stable flow on dual-pump meter-mix equipment, cartridges and vacuum degassing stations.
  • Room temperature cure option - 2-3 h at 25 C for large or heat-sensitive cavities.
  • Low stress on windings and solder joints - Shore A 45 +/- 5 with extremely low cure shrinkage and 210 um/(m.C) CTE.
  • Halogen-free and REACH compliant, RoHS compliant and UL 94 V-0 flame retardant for EU and North American projects.
  • 25-30 kV/mm dielectric strength and 1.0 x 10^16 Ohm.cm volume resistivity for dense, high-voltage layouts.
  • Deep-section curing without exotherm or by-products - thick coil and transformer bodies cure evenly and do not corrode copper or plated terminals.
  • Batch consistency and COA - ISO 9001 factory with lot traceability, TDS and MSDS for every shipment.
  • -50 C to 250 C service range - stable through thermal shock, winter transport and continuous operation.

Mixing, Dispensing and Curing
  1. Pre-mix: stir Component A and Component B separately before loading drums; fillers may settle during storage.
  2. Dosing: set the meter-mix unit to 1:1 by weight and verify with a scale before the first shot of each shift.
  3. Mixing: use a static mixer sized for the shot volume; discard the first mixed bead until the ratio is stable.
  4. Degassing (optional): vacuum degas for void-sensitive coils, transformers and high-voltage modules.
  5. Potting: dispense within the 18-24 min pot life and ensure complete coverage of windings and terminals.
  6. Curing: 12 min at 80 C on the line, or 2-3 h at 25 C for large cavities; do not move the part during cure.
Cure Inhibition Notice
This addition-cure silicone may fail to cure in contact with organotin or tin-containing silicones, sulfur and polysulfide compounds, amines, polyurethane rubber, ammonia-containing items, phosphorus compounds, organic acids and solder flux residues. Clean all substrates, fixtures and dispensing tools before potting and do not mix with condensation-cure (acetoxy) silicone, epoxy or polyurethane.

FAQ

Q1: How much cycle time does the 80 C cure save?

A: The compound cures in 12 min at 80 C instead of 2-3 h at 25 C, so potted ignition coils, transformers and sensor modules can leave the oven at line speed and the curing oven stops being the bottleneck.

Q2: Will it run on a dual-pump meter-mix dispenser?

A: Yes. Viscosity is 2000-3000 mPa.s at 25 C with a 1:1 by weight ratio and 18-24 min pot life, which suits dual-pump meter-mix equipment, static mixers, cartridges and vacuum degassing stations.

Q3: Is the cured compound suitable for ignition coils and transformers?

A: Yes. 25-30 kV/mm dielectric strength, 1.0 x 10^16 Ohm.cm volume resistivity, 0.76 W/mK thermal conductivity and low stress protect coil windings, magnetic cores and terminals through thermal cycling.

Q4: Is it halogen-free and which approvals are available?

A: The compound is halogen-free, RoHS and REACH compliant and UL 94 V-0 flame retardant, supplied with TDS, MSDS and batch COA from our ISO 9001 certified factory.

Q5: What are the MOQ, packaging, lead time and sample policy?

A: Standard packaging is 25 kg per component barrel, 50 kg per A+B set. MOQ is one 50 kg set, a 1 kg trial kit and free sample are available, stock ships in 3-7 working days and bulk orders in 10-15 days. OEM private label is available.
