What to do if the shrinkage rate of cultured stone molds is high?

I. Solution Approach:
Verify the dimensions of your product, the hardness of the cultured stone mold adhesive used, and the initial dimensions and the dimensions after shrinkage.

II. Analysis of the Reasons for High Shrinkage Rate of Silicone in Cultural Stone Molds:
All materials have a certain degree of shrinkage. Compared to many materials, silicone has a relatively small shrinkage rate. A shrinkage rate of 0.3-0.5% is normal for condensation-type silicone, and around 0.1% for addition-type silicone.
Excessive addition of hardener.
Failure to add fiberglass cloth when making large products with artificial cultural stone mold silicone.
Incorrect mold storage methods.
The larger the product size, the more significant the shrinkage.
Incomplete curing of the mold, unstable hardness of the cultural stone-specific silicone, premature demolding or early production, causing easy deformation of the liquid silicone mold and resulting in shrinkage of the cultural stone mold silicone.
III. Solutions for Artificial Cultured Stone Mold Adhesive:
The shrinkage rate of condensation-type cultured stone mold adhesive is generally 0.3-0.5%, while that of addition-type cultured stone mold adhesive is around 0.1%.
Reduce the proportion of hardener added. For example, reduce the amount of hardener added to 3% of the original amount.
For large-sized product molds, add fiberglass cloth to prevent deformation or enlargement.
Customers should scale up the original mold proportionally.
Retain the mold by filling it with plaster when not in use.
The mold must be demolded at least 6-8 hours after demolding and can only be used for production after 24 hours.
