Fast Cure Silicone Potting Compound HN-8806A/B: 12 Min at 80 C for Capacitor, Transformer and Power Module Encapsulation
HN-8806A/B is a two-component addition-cure silicone potting compound supplied at a 1:1 mix ratio by weight. Mixed material can be processed on manual pots or meter-mix dispensing lines and cures in only 12 minutes at 80 C, or in 2-3 hours at 25 C, into a grey elastomer of Shore A 45 ± 5. The cured compound delivers 0.76 W/m·K thermal conductivity, 1.0 × 1016 Ω·cm volume resistivity, 25-30 kV/mm dielectric strength and a −50 C to 250 C service range, so capacitors, transformers, power modules and control boards can be encapsulated, insulated and heat-sinked in one step.

Cure Inhibition Notice
This addition-cure silicone may fail to cure in contact with organotin or tin-containing silicones, sulfur and polysulfide compounds, amine or ammonia-containing items, polyurethane rubber, phosphorus compounds, organic acids and solder flux residues. Clean substrates and tools before potting and do not mix with condensation-cure (acetoxy) silicone, epoxy or polyurethane.

FAQ
Q1: Is HN-8806A/B a fast cure potting compound for automated lines?
A: Yes. Mixed at 1:1 by weight, the compound has an 18-24 minute pot life at 25 C and reaches cure in 12 minutes at 80 C, so meter-mix dispensing lines can demould and test parts within the same shift. Room-temperature cure in 2-3 hours remains available for manual or repair work.
Q2: Can it be used for capacitor and transformer encapsulation?
A: Yes. With 0.76 W/m·K thermal conductivity, 25-30 kV/mm dielectric strength and extremely low cure shrinkage, HN-8806A/B is used for film and electrolytic capacitor potting, transformer and reactor winding encapsulation, and deep cans that must cure without voids.
Q3: What are the electrical and thermal ratings?
A: Volume resistivity is 1.0 × 1016 Ω·cm, dielectric strength 25-30 kV/mm, thermal conductivity 0.76 W/m·K and the service range is −50 C to 250 C, with UL 94 V-0 flame retardancy, RoHS and REACH compliance.
Q4: What packaging and MOQ are available for bulk orders?
A: Standard supply is a 25 kg Component A barrel plus a 25 kg Component B barrel, 50 kg per set. Minimum order is one 50 kg set, a 1 kg trial kit is available for process validation, and stock ships in 3-7 working days.
Q5: Will the compound corrode or stress sealed components?
A: No. The addition-cure system releases no heat and no by-products during cure, so sealed capacitors, relays and solder joints are not corroded or stressed, and the Shore A 45 ± 5 elastomer absorbs vibration and thermal cycling movement.
