1:1 Platinum Cure Liquid Silicone Rubber Food Grade Low Viscosity For Chocolate And Candy Casting Molds
In mold production applications, 1:1 platinum-catalyzed addition RTV-2 liquid silicone rubber possesses unique properties, making it the ideal material for fabricating high-precision, high-quality molds.
Product Advantages
Application
Creates high-precision molds for jewelry, faithfully reproducing intricate patterns and delicate details. Compatible with resin and wax casting to support artistic production.
Fabricates precision molds for electronic assemblies and mechanical parts to guarantee dimensional and geometric accuracy. Ideal for small-batch manufacturing and prototype development.
Compliant with FDA requirements. Safe and non-toxic for manufacturing molds for chocolate, candy, cakes and other food applications.
Serves as a rapid prototyping medium for molds with sophisticated geometries, shortening product development lead times.
Suits mold production for casting resin, polyurethane, epoxy and similar materials. Delivers reliable high-temperature resistance and chemical stability.
Main feature
1. Eco-friendly, non-toxic, odorless and non-corrosive. Certified with FDA food grade, MSDS, RoHS and other relevant standards.
2. Low viscosity and excellent fluidity for easy pouring and handling. Curable at ambient temperature or with heating.
3. Great physiological inertness, waterproof performance, ozone resistance and anti-aging property. It features high tensile toughness and allows repeated demolding.
4. Superior chemical stability and wide temperature tolerance. Stable long-term performance between -55°C and 220°C.
5. No low-molecular substances released during crosslinking, resulting in minimal volume change. The shrinkage rate is as low as 0.1% for high molding precision.
Mold making process
1. Master Preparation
Clean and finish the master pattern to achieve a smooth surface free of contaminants.
2. Mixing & Degassing
Blend Part A and Part B at a 1:1 ratio. Stir thoroughly and conduct vacuum degassing to prevent bubbles from compromising mold quality.
3. Pouring & Curing
Pour the mixed silicone slowly over the master to fully cover all fine details.
Cure at ambient temperature or with heating; typical curing time ranges from several hours to one day.
4. Demolding & Post-Processing
Carry out careful demolding once cured, then inspect the mold for integrity and dimensional accuracy.
Surface finishing or post-curing may be implemented according to requirements.
