High Voltage Insulation Silicone Potting Compound HN-8806A/B
HN-8806A/B is a two-component RTV addition-cure silicone potting compound built for high-voltage powerelectronics. It mixes 1:1 by weight, flows at 2000-3000 mPa·s and cures at room temperature or in 12 min at 80 °C into a45 ± 5 Shore A grey elastomer rated for 25-30 kV/mm dielectric strength and 1.0 * 10¹⁶ Ω·cm volume resistivity. WithUL 94 V-0 flame retardancy, 0.76 W/m·K thermal conductivity, deep-section curing without voids and a -50 °C to 250 °Cservice range, it is used to insulate, cool and mechanically protect EV charging piles, battery packs, BESS racks andother high-voltage assemblies.
Key Features
- 25-30 kV/mm dielectric strength — supports creepage and clearance design in high-voltage modules, charging piles and battery packs.
- 1.0 * 10¹⁶ Ω·cm volume resistivity — high electrical insulation for busbars, terminals and dense power assemblies.
- UL 94 V-0 flame retardancy — flame-retardant encapsulation for battery packs, energy storage racks and charging equipment.
- 0.76 W/m·K thermal conductivity — transfers heat from busbars, IGBT modules and battery cells into the housing.
- Deep-section curing without voids — cures through thick sections with no exotherm and no by-products; degas under vacuum for void-free high-voltage potting.
- Extremely low cure shrinkage, CTE 210 µm/(m·°C) — keeps busbar and terminal spacing stable through thermal cycling.
- -50 °C to 250 °C service range — retains elasticity through power cycling, winter transport and high-temperature operation.
- 1:1 mix ratio, 18-24 min pot life, 2000-3000 mPa·s — equal-part dosing for manual potting and dual-pump dispensing lines.
- Dual cure schedule — 2-3 h at 25 °C for large cavities, 12 min at 80 °C for volume lines.
- RoHS compliant, non-corrosive, no by-products — no attack on copper, aluminium or plated terminals.
- 6-month shelf life, non-dangerous goods transport — general chemical classification simplifies export and warehousing.

Mixing & Application Instructions
- Step 1 - Pre-mix: stir Component A and Component B separately before use, fillers may settle in storage; reseal containers tightly.
- Step 2 - Weighing: weigh A and B at exactly 1:1 by weight on a precision scale.
- Step 3 - Mixing: mix in one direction to limit air entrapment; scrape the container walls and bottom.
- Step 4 - Degassing: degas under vacuum to remove air before high-voltage potting; voids reduce dielectric withstand.
- Step 5 - Potting: pour within the 18-24 min pot life and ensure complete coverage of terminals and busbars.
- Step 6 - Curing: cure 2-3 h at 25 °C or 12 min at 80 °C; do not move or stress the part during cure.
Cure Inhibition Notice
This addition-cure silicone may not cure in contact with organotin or tin-containing silicones, sulfur andpolysulfide compounds, amines, polyurethane rubber, ammonia-containing items, phosphorus compounds, organic acidsand solder flux residues. Clean substrates and tools before potting, and do not mix with condensation-cure(acetoxy) silicone, epoxy or polyurethane.

FAQ
Q1: What dielectric performance does HN-8806AB provide for high-voltage modules?
A: Dielectric strength is 25-30 kV/mm and volume resistivity is 1.0 * 10¹⁶ Ω·cm, with UL 94 V-0 flame retardancy, sothe compound suits EV charging piles, battery packs, BESS racks and high-voltage junction boxes.
Q2: Is HN-8806AB suitable for EV charging piles and energy storage racks?
A: Yes. It combines high-voltage insulation, 0.76 W/m·K thermal conductivity and a -50 °C to 250 °C service range, which covers outdoor charging equipment and battery clusters that see heat, moisture and thermal cycling.
Q3: How do I avoid voids in thick high-voltage potting?
A: Mix 1:1 by weight, degas under vacuum before pouring, and pot within the 18-24 min pot life. The compound curesthrough deep sections with no exotherm and extremely low shrinkage, so thick modules fill without internal stress.
Q4: What cure schedule can I use on my line?
A: Cure 2-3 h at 25 °C as a preliminary room temperature cure for large cavities, or 12 min at 80 °C forheat-accelerated production lines; both give the same grey 45 ± 5 Shore A elastomer.
Q5: What are the MOQ, packaging and lead time?
A: Standard packaging is 25 kg per component drum, 50 kg per A+B kit set; a 1 kg trial kit and free sample areavailable. Stock drums ship in 5-7 days, bulk orders in 10-15 days. OEM private label is available from our Shenzhenfactory.
