Mold silicone raw materials and curing agents should be stirred evenly, otherwise there may be situations where the surface is dry but the inside is not dry, or uneven curing, which can cause the mold to be scrapped. Efforts should be made to avoid such situations. If the size of this product is large, it is necessary to use a brush mold. Although filling the mold saves labor, time, and effort, the required cost is slightly higher.
Because such large products use injection molding, on the one hand, it wastes silicone and increases costs, and on the other hand, the product is too heavy and can easily crush the silicone mold, causing deformation or breakage. However, if you choose to brush the mold, you can add a few more layers of gauze inside to enhance the toughness and strength of the mold. In addition, the support of the outer mold naturally makes it less likely to be crushed or deformed.
Choose the appropriate hardness silicone according to the size of the product
1. For small products, generally softer silicone is more suitable. Because when silicone is too hard, the mold will be very brittle, which can easily break small parts of the product, making the mold less durable.
2. For large products, such as stone cement products that are so hard and heavy, if soft mold silicone material is used, won't the mold be more easily crushed? Because silicone is too soft, its tensile and tear strength will decrease, and the resulting mold will deform, naturally reducing its service life.
