Not every potting job happens next to an oven. HN-8806A/B cures at 25 °C in 2-3 h with no heatrequired, which makes it usable for large castings, field and on-site potting of cable joints, and for heavyelectrical parts that cannot be baked. Unlike rigid epoxy, the cured 45 ± 5 Shore A elastomer can be cut back andre-potted when a unit needs repair, so a failed module does not become scrap. The two-component 1:1 system delivers0.76 W/m·K thermal conductivity, UL 94 V-0 flame retardancy, 25-30 kV/mm dielectric strength, 1.0 * 10¹⁶ Ω·cm volumeresistivity and a -50 °C to 250 °C service range, with 12 min at 80 °C available when a line does have heat.

All values are measured under standard conditions (25 °C, 50-60% RH) after the recommended cure schedule and are for reference only.
This addition-cure silicone may not cure in contact with organotin or tin-containing silicones, sulfur andpolysulfide compounds, amines, polyurethane rubber, ammonia-containing items, phosphorus compounds, organic acidsand solder flux residues. Clean substrates and tools before potting, and do not mix with condensation-cure(acetoxy) silicone, epoxy or polyurethane.
Q1: Can HN-8806AB cure without an oven?
A: Yes. It cures at 25 °C in 2-3 h as a preliminary cure with no heat source, so large castings, field work andheat-sensitive components can be potted on site. If a line does have heat, 12 min at 80 °C speeds up the samecompound.
Q2: Is the potting repairable if a unit fails?
A: Yes. The cured elastomer is a flexible 45 ± 5 Shore A silicone, so it can be cut back, the fault repaired and thecavity re-potted. Rigid epoxy castings cannot be reworked this way.
Q3: Is HN-8806AB suitable for transformers and cable joints?
A: It provides 25-30 kV/mm dielectric strength, 1.0 * 10¹⁶ Ω·cm volume resistivity, UL 94 V-0 flame retardancy and0.76 W/m·K thermal conductivity, with an 18-24 min pot life that allows windings and joints to be filledcompletely.
Q4: What happens to the compound at high and low temperature?
A: The service range is -50 °C to 250 °C. With a 210 µm/(m·°C) coefficient of thermal expansion and extremely lowcure shrinkage, windings, insulators and cable cores are not stressed during load cycling.
Q5: What are the MOQ, packaging and lead time?
A: Standard packaging is 25 kg per component drum, 50 kg per A+B kit set; a 1 kg trial kit and free sample areavailable. Stock drums ship in 5-7 days, bulk orders in 10-15 days. OEM private label is available from our Shenzhenfactory.
