RTV-2 platinum-cured 1:1 addition-type liquid silicone rubber

 

Platinum LSR chocolate molds are FDA food-grade certified to ensure safety, accurately reproduce 0.05mm ultra-fine textures, are temperature-resistant from -30°C to 200°C, and have a lifespan of 1000+ times. Easy to operate: vacuum degassing and pouring, 4 hours of curing and ready for production; flexible demolding after refrigerated mold filling, the finished product is smooth and flawless. Compared with traditional materials, it has the advantages of high precision, oil resistance, and low cost, and is perfectly suitable for high-end customization, mass production, and handmade scenes, making every chocolate a work of art!

 

1. Five core advantages of platinum-cured LSR chocolate molds
Food-safe material

Meets FDA standards, odorless, non-toxic migration, and long-term contact with chocolate will not release harmful substances.
Compared to traditional silicone (which may contain sulfides), the platinum curing system has no residual catalyst, avoiding chocolate odor or discoloration problems.


Ultra-fine detail restoration
It can replicate complex textures of 0.05mm level (such as chocolate petal veins, logo relief), with a surface finish of Ra≤0.2μm, and the chocolate does not need secondary polishing after demolding.
Heat resistance and durability
The operating temperature range is **-30°C to 200°C**, which is resistant to both chocolate refrigeration (4°C) and short-term hot filling (60°C molten chocolate).
The mold life is 1000+ times, far exceeding polycarbonate (about 200 times) or ordinary silicone (300-500 times).


Efficient demoulding and anti-sticking
Natural oleophobicity reduces the use of demoulding agents, and some formulas can achieve **"self-demolding"** (such as when chocolate contains ≥30% cocoa butter).
Tear strength ≥25kN/m, to avoid mold deformation and damage to fine structures during demoulding.


Environmental protection and design flexibility
Waste can be recycled and customized colors (food-grade color paste is required) and hardness (usually 20-40 Shore A hardness) are supported.

4.Mold making process of RTV-2 platinum-cured 1:1 addition-type liquid silicone rubber
(1) Prototype preparation
Clean and process the mold prototype to ensure that the surface is smooth and free of impurities.
(2) Mixing and degassing
Mix components A and B in a 1:1 ratio, stir evenly and vacuum degas to avoid bubbles affecting the quality of the mold.
(3) Pouring and curing
Slowly pour the mixed silicone rubber onto the prototype to ensure that the details are completely covered.
Cure at room temperature or under heating conditions, usually for a few hours to a day.
(4) Demolding and post-processing
After curing, carefully demold and check the integrity and accuracy of the mold.
Surface treatment or secondary curing can be performed as needed.

1. Do a small amount of testing before use, and then put it into use.

2. Do not add color or powder to the silica gel at will before testing. Do not contact with water, acid, alkali or other organic matter containing sulfur, phosphorus and nitrogen, so as not to affect the curing of silica gel.

3. This product is a platinum catalyst silica gel, which cannot be in contact with condensation type silica gel. Before using the silica gel, tools and containers need to be cleaned with thinner water.
