Hanast HN-8806A/B is a two-component addition-cure silicone potting adhesive that cures at room temperature or under heat to a grey, 45 ± 5 Shore A elastomer with thermal conductivity of 0.76 W/m·K or above. It is used where potting has to do two jobs at once: keep water, humidity and dust out of the electronics, and conduct heat away from the device. The cured elastomer bonds to metal, aluminium, PC and acrylic surfaces, releases no heat and no by-products during cure, does not corrode sealed components and stays flexible from -50 °C to 250 °C, so sealed housings survive thermal cycling and outdoor service.

Q1: Is this potting compound waterproof enough for outdoor electronics?
A: Yes. It is poured to fill the whole cavity, bonding to metal and plastic walls so water paths through connectors and lead exits are sealed, and the cured elastomer stays flexible from -50 °C to 250 °C through thermal cycling and outdoor service.
Q2: Does it bond to aluminium, PC and acrylic housings?
A: The cured rubber develops adhesion to aluminium, iron, PC and acrylic, which improves sealing performance. For difficult substrates a small bonding trial with your specific housing material is recommended.
Q3: What are the mix ratio, pot life and cure time?
A: Mix A and B at 1:1 by weight. Pot life is 18-24 minutes at 25 °C, preliminary cure is 2-3 hours at room temperature, or 12 minutes at 80 °C when heat accelerated.
Q4: Will it corrode the components inside the housing?
A: No. The compound releases no heat and no by-products during cure, shrinks almost not at all and is non-corrosive to sealed components, so copper, plated leads and solder joints are protected rather than attacked.
Q5: What packaging and shelf life does it have?
A: Component A and B each ship in 25 kg plastic barrels, 50 kg per set, with TDS and MSDS per lot. Shelf life is 6 months from date of manufacture when stored sealed at 25 °C.
Shenzhen Hanast New Materials Co., Ltd. manufactures liquid silicone materials at a production base in Guangdong, China, supplying addition-cure (platinum) and condensation-cure silicone for electronic potting, thermal management and mould making. Every lot ships with TDS and MSDS documentation and is compliant with RoHS and UL 94 V-0 requirements.
