Product Description

1:1 Liquid Silicone Rubber Low Viscosity Food Grade For Chocolate Candy Molds

Core product positioning

RTV-2 platinum-cured liquid silicone rubber is an industrial-grade material tailored for high-precision plaster, concrete craft and resin casting mold production. Featuring near-zero shrinkage (less than 0.1%) and excellent high-temperature resistance up to 250°C, it effectively addresses the common defects of traditional molds, including structural deformation and detail loss during use.

Five major technical advantages

1. Nano-level Detail Reproduction Boasting a moderate fluidity of 120,000 cps, the silicone rubber accurately captures ultra-fine textures as tiny as 0.03mm. It perfectly restores fingerprint-level delicate details for various crafts, including rugged concrete relief textures and intricate structural features of resin miniature models, achieving zero detail loss during molding.

2. High Temperature Stability for Mass Production Consistency It withstands heat generated during gypsum curing (80–100°C) and high-temperature resin pouring up to 180°C. After 100 consecutive molding cycles, the dimensional variation is controlled within 0.05%, ensuring stable and consistent mass production output.

3. Ultra-low Shrinkage for Deformation-free Demolding Adopting a professional platinum catalytic system, the material eliminates curing shrinkage effectively. For large-scale concrete components such as 1:1 antique column caps, the molding joint error is controlled below 0.3mm, delivering high-precision molding results.

4. Extended Service Lifespan With a tear resistance of no less than 25kN/m, its service life is 5 times that of ordinary silicone molds. A single mold supports more than 300 consecutive concrete pouring operations, greatly reducing production costs.

5. Eco-friendly & Recyclable Compatibility Free of tin catalysts and heavy metal ingredients, the silicone features excellent environmental compatibility. Waste molds can be thermally cracked and recycled into silica powder, realizing resource reuse and green production.

Main feature

1. Certified & Harmless Non-toxic, odorless, non-corrosive and eco-friendly. Fully compliant with FDA food-grade, MSDS, RoHS and other international certification standards for safe use.

2. Easy Operation & Flexible Curing Low viscosity with great fluidity ensures smooth pouring and simple construction. It can be cured naturally at room temperature or quickly via heating.

3. Multi-Resistance & Long Service Life

4. Wide Temperature Adaptability Features superior chemical stability and high-low temperature resistance. It stably retains all core properties during long-term use at -55°C to 220°C.

5. High Precision with Minimal Shrinkage Zero low-molecular precipitation during cross-linking ensures constant volume. With a shrinkage rate as low as 0.1%, it achieves flawless and high-precision molding.

Mold making process

1. Prototype Preparation Polish and clean the mold prototype thoroughly to obtain a smooth surface free of dirt, impurities and residues, laying a foundation for high-precision molding.

2. Mixing and Degassing Blend Component A and Component B strictly at a 1:1 ratio and stir uniformly. Perform vacuum degassing to eliminate air bubbles and prevent molding defects that compromise mold quality.

3. Pouring and Curing Pour the well-mixed silicone rubber slowly over the prototype to fully cover all surface details and structures. Complete curing can be achieved under ambient temperature or heated conditions, with a curing cycle ranging from several hours to one day.

4. Demolding and Post-Processing Conduct gentle demolding after full curing, then inspect the mold for structural integrity and dimensional accuracy. Surface finishing or secondary curing can be implemented according to actual usage requirements.
