Operation method
Process demonstration for condensation-type silicone, using simply patterned small handicrafts as samples:
① Mix silicone and curing agent at 100:2–2.5, stir evenly.
② Degas the mixed silicone in a vacuum chamber to avoid bubbles and ensure smooth mold surfaces. Without vacuum equipment, bubbles can rise naturally by prolonging curing time, yet the result will not be ideal.
③ Coat the master mold and mold frame with Vaseline. Fix the master in the center, slowly pour degassed silicone into the frame to fully cover the prototype, then leave to cure.
④ Demold after full silicone curing, and trim rough edges of the silicone mold.
⑤ It is recommended to age the silicone mold for 24 hours prior to use to obtain the best molding performance.
