Product Description

Liquid Silicone Potting Compound Raw Material with Customizable Hardness, Mix Ratio and Colour

Hanast HN-8806A/B is a two-component addition-cure silicone potting compound supplied as a directly pourable system and as a raw material platform for OEM programs. The standard grade is a white Component A and grey Component B that mix 1:1 by weight and cure to a 45 ± 5 Shore A grey elastomer with 0.76 W/m·K or higher thermal conductivity, UL 94 V-0 flame retardancy and 1.0 × 10¹⁶ Ω·cm volume resistivity. Because the base chemistry, filler loading and cure package are under factory control, hardness, colour, viscosity and pot life can be adjusted for customers who need their own specification, private label or a specific dispensing process.

Customizable Hardness and Color Liquid Silicone Potting Compound with 1:1 Mix Ratio for OEM Electronic Encapsulation

Key Features

  • 1:1 Mix Ratio by Weight - simple equal-part dosing that suits both manual batching and dual-pump meter-mix equipment.
  • Adjustable Hardness - the standard 45 ± 5 Shore A can be re-formulated softer or firmer for a target application, subject to evaluation and MOQ.
  • Custom Colour - white and grey are standard; other colours including thermal-black and brand colours can be produced on request.
  • Adjustable Viscosity and Pot Life - 2000-3000 mPa·s and 18-24 min as standard, re-tuned for thin-wall filling or for longer manual assembly windows.
  • Thermal Conductivity 0.76 W/m·K or Above - balances heat transfer with the flow needed to fill dense assemblies.
  • UL 94 V-0 and RoHS - flame retardant and RoHS compliant base material, ready for consumer, industrial and automotive programs.
  • Deep-Section Curing and Low Shrinkage - cures through thick sections with no exotherm, no by-products and near-zero shrinkage.
  • Wide Service Range -50 °C to 250 °C - stable elasticity through thermal cycling and outdoor operation.
  • OEM and Private Label Support - custom packaging size, private label drums, TDS and MSDS per lot.

Mixing and Potting Process

  1. Pre-mix: stir Components A and B separately before use, because fillers settle during storage; reseal containers tightly after use.
  2. Weighing: weigh A and B at exactly 1:1 by weight on a precision electronic scale.
  3. Mixing: mix in one direction for a uniform blend and scrape the container walls and bottom; uneven mixing causes local incomplete cure.
  4. Degassing (optional): vacuum degas for void-sensitive devices to remove air introduced during mixing.
  5. Pouring / potting: pour into the clean, dry device within the 18-24 min pot life and ensure full coverage of the component.
  6. Curing: cure 2-3 h at 25 °C, or 12 min at 80 °C for heat-accelerated lines; do not move or stress the part during cure.

Cure Inhibition Precautions

  • This addition-cure silicone may fail to cure in contact with organotin and tin-containing silicones, sulfur and polysulfide compounds, amines, polyurethane rubber, ammonia-containing items, phosphorus compounds, organic acids and solder flux residues.
  • Do not mix or use in contact with condensation-cure (acetoxy) silicone, epoxy resin or polyurethane, which cause cure inhibition.
  • Clean and dry all substrates, tools and containers before potting; use nitrile gloves, goggles and adequate ventilation.
  • Keep containers tightly sealed when not in use and store away from food, children and incompatible materials.

Packaging, Storage and Shelf Life

  • Component A: 25 kg plastic barrel; Component B: 25 kg plastic barrel; kit 50 kg per set; custom kit sizes and private label available.
  • Store sealed in a cool, dry, ventilated area at a recommended 25 °C, protected from direct sunlight, moisture and extreme temperatures.
  • Shelf life 6 months from date of manufacture when stored as recommended; stir thoroughly before use because fillers settle.
  • Classified as non-dangerous goods for transport.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Can hardness, colour and mix ratio be customized?

A: Yes. The standard platform is 45 ± 5 Shore A, white A and grey B at a 1:1 weight ratio. Hardness, colour, viscosity and pot life can be adjusted for OEM programs after an evaluation sample and with a minimum order quantity.

Q2: Is the standard 1:1 ratio suitable for dispensing equipment?

A: Yes. A 1:1 by weight ratio with 2000-3000 mPa·s viscosity and 18-24 min pot life is designed for dual-pump meter-mix dispensing as well as manual potting.

Q3: Do you supply private label and custom packaging?

A: Yes. Drums can be private labelled and kit sizes customized, with TDS and MSDS issued per lot for your own documentation set.

Q4: What documentation is supplied with each lot?

A: TDS and MSDS for every lot, covering GB/T test methods, UL 94 V-0 flame rating and RoHS compliance, so the material can be qualified in your own process.

Q5: How long can the material be stored?

A: 6 months from date of manufacture when unopened and stored sealed at 25 °C. Fillers settle, so always pre-stir Components A and B before weighing.
